Day-1: Mumbai
Arrive
at Mumbai, the commercial and celluloid capital of India. On arrival transfer
to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day-2: Mumbai
Morning enjoy a half day tour of: Gateway of India - the stone archway built
in the 16th century; Elephanta Caves - 9kms by sea from Mumbai. These 7th
century rock-cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Overnight at hotel.
Day-3: Mumbai - Bhuj
Transfer to airport for flight to Bhuj - gateway to the Kutch region of Gujarat.
On arrival in Bhuj visit to Collector's office for permit. Afternoon city
tour covering Kutch Museum and Palace of Rao Pragmalji. Overnight stay at
hotel.
Day-4: Bhuj
Daylong excursion to Bunny Villages. Overnight at Bhuj.
Day-5: Bhuj
Full day excursion to villages and Mandvi - one of the finest beaches in India
on the coastline of Gujarat. Overnight at hotel.
Day-6: Bhuj - Gondal (275 kms)
Morning drive to Gondal - a place with a royal past and naturally is dotted
with a number of forts and palaces. En-route visit Dhamadka. Overnight at
hotel.
Day-7: Gondal - Sasangir (130 kms)
Morning
drive to Sasangir - the forest which is the habitat of the last of Asiatic Lions,
Junagadh. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day-8: Sasangir
Jeep safaris in the morning and evening at the Gir National Park and Lion
Sanctuary. Overnight at hotel.
Day-9: Sasangir - Diu (170 kms)
Morning drive to Diu via Somnath - the temple city also known as Prabhas Patan
and home to one of the 12 Jyotirlings of India. Diu is a small town sandwiched
between a massive fort to the east and a huge city wall to the west. On arrival
check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day-10: Diu
Day free to relax at beach. Overnight at hotel.
Day-11: Diu - Bhavnagar (200 kms)
Morning drive to Bhavnagar - a modern port town endowed with excellent natural
surroundings. The port was built in 1723. On arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon
at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day-12: Bhavnagar - Uteliya (230 kms)
Morning drive to Uteliya via Palitana - famed for its spectacular temple sites,
beautiful beaches and wildlife. On arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon city
tour. Overnight at hotel.
Day-13: Uteliya - Zainabad (130 kms)
Drive to Zainabad, en-route visit Lothal. Overnight at hotel.
Day-14: Zainabad - Baroda (230 kms)
Half-day
city tour then drive to Baroda. On arrival check in into hotel. Overnight at
hotel.
Day-15: Baroda
Daylong excursion to Chotta - Udaipur. Overnight at hotel.
Day-16: Baroda - Ahmedabad (120 kms)
Drive to Ahmedabad - the city of Ahmed Shah (the medieval ruler of Gujarat)
known for its rich past and its association with Mahatma Gandhi. The city offers
a unique style of architecture, which is a blend of Hindu and Islamic styles
(Indo-Saracenic style of architecture). On arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon
city tour. Overnight at hotel.
Day-17: Ahmedabad
Full day excursion to Modhera & Patan, located around 300 kms away. Patan
was founded during the 9th century and is famous for its architectural wonders
built during the rule of the Solanki dynasty. The Rani Udayamati vav (step
well) and the Sahastralinga Lake are some of the tourist attractions here.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day-18: Ahmedabad - Mumbai
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Mumbai to connect the onward flight.
